Bessa de Melo


Daniel Bessa de Melo joined Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão in 2020, where he works in the Civil and Labour practice areas.

He graduated in Law from the Porto University Law School and is currently applying for a Master's in Civil Law Sciences at the Porto University Law School.

He also completed the Course in Public Procurement and the Course in Civil Procedural Practices, both from the Porto University Law School, in addition to other complementary training.

Academically, he was Vice-Chairman of the Course Committee of the 4th Year of Law, in addition to having participated in academic mentoring projects and having had a stint in the Porto University Newspaper (JUP).

He is also the author of scientific articles, such as:

  • "Commentary on Article 6 of the UDHR, in "Universal Declaration of Human Rights | European Convention on Human Rights. Annotations by students of the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto", coord. LUÍSA NETO et al., University of Porto, 2019;
  • "The Protection of the Fetus and Maternal Autonomy", in JULGAR Online, April 2020;
  • "The Abuse of Law: contributions to a hermeneutic of Art. 334 of the Portuguese Civil Code", in press;
  • "The Legal and Social Status of Slaves in Roman Law", awaiting peer review.
