In light of the new challenges in housing and urban rehabilitation, the Assembly of the Republic is in the process of approving Law Proposal No. 71/XV/1.ª, with a view to adopting measures to ensure greater justice and equity in matters related to housing. Find out more here.
From the set of measures, the Law Proposal provides for the creation of an extraordinary contribution on flats and lodging establishments integrated in an autonomous fraction of a building in local accommodation, and the revenue obtained will be consigned to the Institute of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation, I.P, in order to promote programmes related to housing, rental and urban rehabilitation.
